The Studio is so excited to welcome local artist , Jessica Joy, for a night of collage!

We will be creating moths and butterflies from paper. There will be instruction on the basics of paper collage, choosing colors and patterns, and putting it all together. Each participant with go home with a moth or butterfly on a 5x7 wood panel and have the chance to create more insects on paper, if time allows.

Jessica is a mixed media collage artist working with materials she sources secondhand from local thrift stores, estate sales and friends. Always a lover of nature, she finds most of her inspiration from being outside. Jessica has over seven years of experience working in paper collage and she was recently an artist in the Loyola Art Show. She is also represented by Purple House Gallery in Gainesville, GA and had the opportunity to paint a power box in downtown Mobile in connection with the Mobile Arts Council.
